- * Group psychotherapy is one time a week. Attendance is expected to be extremely consistent. Groups cannot achieve cohesion when members do not reliably attend consecutive therapy sessions. Group offers a very special opportunity to get and give direct open honest feedback about themselves and others. This makes it uniquely possible to differentiate one's self from other individuals. Group members may not have relationships with other members outside of group. There are to be no stakes in these relationships. Group work has no consequences on workplace assessments of performance or family/friend relationships because these relationships are apart from the patients' lives outside of group.
** Commitment to group is expected to be for a minimum of one year. This is a 'fair trial' period.
